The Fraunhofer Institute signed a memorandum of understanding with the Portuguese Foundation for Science and Technology and with the Portuguese Agency for the Knowledge Society, which aims to develop the cooperation in long term scientific research.
The Fraunhofer Institute is also planning the creation of a research centre in Portugal. Prior to this agreement several Portuguese research institutions have been selected to take part in this program, one of them was the CISTER/IPP-HURRAY! Research group.
